Eligibility Criteria
1. Domicile: Candidate must be a resident of the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu & Kashmir, possessing a valid domicile certificate as per S.O. 160 dated 18.05.2020 issued by the General Administration Department of J&K. Candidates from the SC category are eligible irrespective of their place of residence in the UT of J&K if they are domiciled in J&K.
2. Age Limit: Age requirements for various categories are as per the guidelines effective as of 01.01.2024.
3. Educational Qualification:
• Minimum: Matriculation (10th) from a recognized board.
• Additional: Valid driving license for LMV/HMV and a medical certificate confirming fitness to drive.

• Application Fee: ₹300 (to be paid via Demand Draft from J&K Bank Ltd., in favor of the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Budgam).

Selection Process
1. Written Test: Candidates must take a written test covering General Knowledge and Traffic Rules.
2. Driving Skill Test: Candidates shortlisted from the written test (1:5 ratio) will undergo a practical driving skill test.
3. Exemption for Ad-hoc/Daily Wage Workers: Candidates engaged in subordinate courts on an ad-hoc or daily wage basis are exempt from the age limits and may apply.
