The GMC Udhampur invites applications for the recruitment of Senior Residents, Registrars, Tutors, Demonstrators, and Field Demonstrators on a contractual basis for a tenure of one year, extendable up to three years based on satisfactory performance.
Essential Qualifications for Various Departments
1. Anatomy – MBBS Degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India (now National Medical Commission).
2. Pharmacology
3. Anesthesia
4. General Medicine
5. General Surgery
6. Pediatrics
7. Radiodiagnosis
8. Forensic Medicine
• For all positions, candidates must hold a Postgraduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB/MDS) as per the criteria set forth in Government Orders No. 282 JK (HME) of 2023 dated 04-04-2023 and No. 383-JK (HME) of 2024 dated 20-06-2024.
Application Submission Details
• Application Deadline: 28-11-2024 (4:00 PM)
• Application Fee: INR 500/- (non-refundable) to be paid via bank draft from J&K Bank in favor of the Principal, Govt. Medical College, Udhampur.
• Submission: Complete application forms (in the prescribed format) with self-attested copies of relevant documents must be submitted by hand or via registered post.
Eligibility & Selection Criteria
• Maximum age for eligibility: 50 years as of the cut-off date.
• The selection process will be governed by Government Orders No. 383-JK(HME) of 2024 dated 20.06.2024 & No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023 dated 04.04.2023.

3. Attempt Certificates from 1st to Final MBBS
4. Medical Council Registration Certificate (State/MCI/NMC)
5. Internship Completion Certificate
6. Academic Distinctions/Medals/Awards (if any)
7. House-job Certificates
8. FMGE Certificate (if applicable)
9. Publications in Standard Medical Journals (if applicable)
Additional Conditions
• Appointment of Non-PSC candidates is strictly on a tenure basis.
• Candidates with prior Senior Residency/Demonstratorship who have completed or left such posts need not apply.
• Selected candidates must furnish an affidavit, duly attested by a 1st Class Magistrate, affirming non-completion or mid-way resignation from prior positions.
• Vacancies may be altered or withdrawn at any point before the completion of the selection process.
