The School Education Department of Jammu & Kashmir has initiated the recruitment process for 575 Lecturer posts to be filled under the direct quota. These vacancies are available across various reserved and unreserved categories as per the applicable regulations.

• Open Merit (OM): 238 Posts
• Reserved Backward Area (RBA): 53 Posts
• Scheduled Caste (SC): 51 Posts
• Scheduled Tribe – 1 (ST-1): 61 Posts
• Scheduled Tribe – 2 (ST-2): 56 Posts
• ALC: 26 Posts
• Other Backward Classes (OBC): 42 Posts
• Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 48 Posts
Total: 575 Posts
Special Provisions for Physically Challenged Candidates:
A 4% horizontal reservation is provided for Physically Challenged Persons, in accordance with Government Order No. 59-JK(SWD) of 2021, dated 15.04.2021. Suitable categories for the job include:
• One Arm
• One Leg
• Blind
• Both Legs
• Low Vision
