The Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the SERB-funded project titled: “Understanding the genetic basis of hearing loss using zebrafish model”.
Project Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. P. V. Ramchander
Position Details:
• Title: Junior Research Fellow
• No. of Positions: 01
• Fellowship: ₹31,000/- + HRA
• Duration: 4 months or until the end of the project
Eligibility Criteria:
• Educational Qualification: M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Life Sciences or related subjects (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Microbiology, Bioinformatics) with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade. Relaxations as per Government of India guidelines.
• Additional Requirements: Candidates must have qualified a national level exam (NET/LS-NET/GATE/GPAT/BET). Candidates with experience or knowledge in genetics, bioinformatics, cell culture, or molecular biology techniques will be preferred.
• Age Limit: Below 28 years as of 28.11.2024 (age relaxation as per Govt. of India rules).
